Digital Adoption Institute

Our team launched the Digital Adoption Institute to empower a generation of digital adoption professionals that would be able to implement WalkMe and scale the adoption of of tech investments at any organization.

Role

During the implementation of the Digital Adoption Institute I worked on two major parts of the project which included Learning Management System (LMS) evaluation and implementation, and development of the instructor led workshop curriculum.

LMS

In order to run the Digital Adoption Institute we needed a new platform to support key functions for our participants to get the most out of their experience. We took a look at four different systems– Intellum, Skilljar, Absorb, and Thinkific.

Challenge

Research

Upon evaluating the LMS choices we learned that we need a few key components.

  • Integration for e-commerce in order to sell courses

  • Easy reporting on learners in the institute

  • Management of course assets for learners to download

Key Decision

After heavy evaluation of systems our choices came down to Absorb and Thinkific. While the other two had great features as well, we were limited by budget constraints in choosing those offerings. Thinkific was our top choice, but due to security compliance with our company our final choice came down to Absorb.

Workshops Curriculum

Aside from our existing training content we wanted to include a premium offering that would certify our participants and up level them beyond the online content. This led to the development of Instructor led workshops that provided a hands on experience and key skills that made our own employees successful at their jobs.

Challenge

Design

When designing the instructor led course, with the world being virtual we needed to ensure that the experience was as engaging as possible since participants could be easily distracted in their own home.

Solution

We came up with a formula for each workshop to ensure that the learning was placed in the hands of the learner.

  • 30 minutes of lecture

  • 45 minutes of breakout sessions and hands on exercise

  • 15 minutes discussion with Q&A
